Something cozy and relaxing...

What's a girl to do after a long day at the Chewelah Farmers Market, immediately followed by attending a piano recital? It's late, I was tired, and I needed to wind down.

The obvious answer is chocolate.

But, it needed to be warm and relaxing. So, I broke out the fabulously creamy and delicious milk from Peasant Milk and made the best hot chocolate. Ever.

Here are the ingredients to a relaxing cup of cocoa: A mug, cocoa and Peasant Milk.

Peasant Milk is a raw, non-homogenized milk from pastured Jersey Cows. Merna, the owner of Peasant Milk, likes to say her cows aren't on drugs but they are on grass.

Since the milk is not homogenized, you need to give it a shake to incorporate all of that lovely cream that rises to the top.

I know, I know. Starbucks isn't exactly local, but I don't know of a locally sourced cocoa, and this particular cocoa is excellent. It is also all natural and they say it's 'ethically sourced', so that sounds pretty good. I get it in the industrial-sized container at Costco.

The milk is gently warmed and the chocolate-y goodness stirred in.

Mmmm. I am feeling sleepy already.
